Paul O'Neil, one half of the Morning Buzz! "Hey there, thanks for poking around on our new Website! Hereās some facts about me, I spent much of my younger years in Trochu, went to Calgary Academy for high school. After that was done, my plan was to join the railroads, I wanted to be a conductor or a locomotive engineer. Trust me; I drove my parents crazy with this dream. I worked with a tourist railway in Stettler and was fully set on getting my āB Cardā to become a conductor. But as that dream was about to take flight, my second interest became more apparent...radio broadcasting. A year at Lethbridge College paved the way for my first on air job, at the now defunct 1090 CHEC. My radio career started in 1991, and Iāve lived in many places following my career aspirations. Iāve worked all over the map, in places like Medicine Hat, Red Deer, where I joined Radio 7 CKRD as overnight host, then off to Calgary, Moncton, Wainwright-Lloydminster, Regina and Iāve just made the move back here to Red Deer to work with BIG 105. Here is more about me; I am a dual US/Canadian citizen ā I have family on both sides of the line. My Alberta family includes two brothers who live in Calgary (Iām the oldest). My parents have retired and live in Cochrane. Iām lucky to still have two grandmothers and Iām very lucky and happy to live close to my daughter, Taylor who lives in Edmonton. Iām passionate about music, history and life! |
