Titanic Theory Proven
Wednesday, 18 April 2012 07:12

A theory I've pondered since my tween years has been debunked.

Jack and Rose BOTH could have fit on that drifting door in the freezing water after the Titanic sank.  Thank you random internet people for proving it.

This validates the 13 year old version of myself screaming at the TV screen, "Let Jack on the Raft ROSE!! There's room on that raft ROSE!  Don't let go ROSE, WHY'D YOU LET HIM GO ROSE!?!?!"

Geeze...she's so selfish.  ;)

Fave Five Current Albums
Thursday, 05 April 2012 09:11

My music tastes are always changing but right now I am loving these new albums:

1. Fun. - Some Nights
You may have only heard the first single from Fun. So far, but the entire album is worth a listen.  I find they sound like a mix of OneRepublic and Queen.

2. Snow Patrol - Fallen Empires
This was my Jamaican play list.  This could very well be Snow Patrol’s masterpiece with a good blend of anthems and mellow acoustic tunes.

3. The National - High Violet
(With numerous songs featured on the “Warrior” soundtrack, great movie)
The National is hit or miss for me, some of the songs can get mildly depressing, but my husband is a National super-fan so when you hear these songs over and over they really start to have an effect.  I recommend this track called “England”

4. Noel Gallagher - High Flying Birds
This ones a beautiful compilation by the man who was recently named as the world greatest front man.

5. Keane - Strangeland (Out on May 7th)
It’s not out yet, but I’m loving their first single from the album so far, a return to the classic “Keane” sound.

My Money's on Skunkhead
Thursday, 05 April 2012 08:12

This season of American Idol has been mildly entertaining compared to previous seasons. Not necessarily because the performances are any better than previous years, but because of Jamie Worthington.  If I hear him call my man Colton Dixon, “Skunkhead” one more time…Colton is an incredible singer, he knows how to rock skinny jeans, and I love how emotional he gets after every song, he’s my Tim Tebow of American Idol.

Jamie can root for Philip Phillip Phillips all he wants, but my money's on Skunkhead.
