What is this bag full of?

Snakeskin!

And guess what it's used for?

A pedicure!
I received an interesting text from my friend Jen. She wanted to know what my co-worker did with his pet snakes shed skin and if she could have it. I asked Chris my co-worker who said he would give it to her if she gave him a bag of her toenails, because that was just as weird a request as the snakeskin. I laughed and said, "well you're not that far off, she wants to put the snakeskin on toenails"!
Chris thought this was quite the request, and since he just throws the scales away, he offered to give them to her.
Snakeskin pedicures are all the rage, and Jen who owns a spa, is always trying the latest thing for her clients.
The process was quite meticulous, but Jen has a steady hand. The result was a fun, textured and a UNIQUE, animal friendly pedicure!

I stumbled upon a very delicious gluten free/Egg free treat the other day and thought I should share!Â
I almost ate half the box before I was home from the grocery store, but they were a little too rich to scarf down in one sitting.Â
These pictures were taken in my office and I just noticed the Rolling Stones tongue looks like it's trying to lap up the bars.
These gluten free wafer cookies are nice to have with an afternoon tea. (gluten free of course).

I found both of these snacks in the specialty aisles at local grocery stores here in Red Deer! |

I heard about this a few days ago and still can't believe it!
Airport offficials find all kinds of weird things in people's luggage. I have a link to a story from CNN that discusses some of those strange things. (We'll get to that in just a bit).
A man was arrested at a Bangkok airport last week as he was getting ready to fly first class to Dubai. Undercover officers opened his suitcases and found...
7 rare and endangered baby animals! All the sedated animals were alive thankfully and the man was arrested. Illegal smuggling of wildlife is seen in airports but more commonly reptiles like tortoises, snakes and lizards. This collection of animals was rare...
- Two Leopard cubs
- One White Cheeked Gibbon
- One Malayan Sun Bear
- One Black Tufted Marmoset
-Two Black Panthers
Click here to see pictures of the cute little animals.
And here to read about other rare finds in unclaimed baggage.
