Jann Arden

BIG 105 presents Jann Arden with guests February 24 at the Red Deer Memorial Centre.  Doors open at 7pm, the show starts at 8pm.  Tickets available at ticketcentraloutlet.ca and range from $75.50 & $99.50 plus service charges.

 
Sylvan Lake Pond Hockey Tournament

BIG 105 and the Town of Sylvan Lake present February 24-26 on Sylvan Lake.  This 4 on 4 tournament is fun for all skill levels.  Early bird registration deadline is January 31.  Teams can register and find more info at www.sylvanlakepondhockey.ca.

 
Affairs of the Arts

RDC Kinds and Queens' Scholarship Breakfast

BIG 105 is proud to present the RDC Kings & Queen’s Scholarship Breakfast at the Sheraton Red Deer Hotel (formerly the Capri Centre) on Tuesday, March 6 from 7:30a-9:30a.  Proceeds from the event go to student athlete scholarships.  Bill Comrie will be the speaker, he is the founder of The Brick Warehouse Corporation, Officer of The Order of Canada and Sports Hall of Fame Inductee.  For more information or to sponsor or buy tickets, call 403-343-4093.

 
Oldtimers' Hockey Challenge

BIG 105 presents the Oldtimers’ Hockey Challenge March 14 7pm at the Enmax Centrium.  Legendary NHL Superstars will take on the Red Deer Law Enforcement Hockey team in support of Local Red Deer Charities.  Hall of famers Glenn Anderson and Bryan Trottier will join Trevor Kidd, Theo Fluery, Cliff Ronning, Laurie Boschman, Gary Leeman, Ron Duguay, Marty McSorley, Dave Ellet and referee Ron Hoggarth.  Add the laser show, “Call to Recycle Tykes” and the Red Deer Skating Club, it is sure to be an entertaining evening for the entire family!  Tickets are available through ticketmaster for $25 each, general admission. Celebrity Dance Off

BIG 105 presents the 1st annual “Celebrity Dance-Off” in support of the Red Deer Hospice Society, March 16 6pm at the Sheraton Red Deer (formerly Capri Centre).  Evening includes a celebrity dance-off, supper and a band to end the night.  Tickets are $175 (is eligible for $100 charitable tax receipt) and available at www.reddeerhospice.com or by calling 403-309-4344.

 
Mardi Gras Madness

BIG 105 and the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation present Mardi Gras Madness in support of Hospital’s Lottery on Friday May 4, 2012 at the Capri Centre. Tickets are $100.00 each and include an authentic New Orleans menu, martinis, wine, Live Music all night, talented street performers, a mask and a set of beads, and a Lottery ticket for the 2011 Hospitals' Home Lottery.  Activities for the night will include a Fortune Teller's Tent, Mask Shoppe, Bead Contest, Voodoo Doll Treasure Chests, and more!  Each time you participate in an activity you will also receive a lottery ticket. Tickets can be ordered by calling the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation at (403) 343-4773.

 
Alberta Equity Scholarship

The Alberta stations of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group will make available one $2000.00 scholarship in 2012 to students accepted into a recognized broadcast education program at an Alberta post-secondary educational institution.  Deadline is June 8.  Download application and info sheets on websites.
